Women’s Swimming And Diving Finish In Second At AEC Championships
For the second straight year the women’s swimming and diving team finished in second place behind the champion Boston U Terriers. This year they finished with 681 points as Boston U finished with 765.
Women’s Swimming And Diving Has Seven Seniors Go Out With Sweep of Delaware and William and Mary
In their final home meet, Sam Maccherola, Lindsay Sherman, Tina Cantwell, Kate Chialastri, Jennifer Esposito, Brittany Johnson, and Tereza Kaplanova left with two wins as they beat Delaware (177-123) and William and Mary (164-130) to improve their record to 6-3 on the season.

In a jam packed weekend of competition, the women’s swimming and diving team followed up a third place finish in the Swimming World Magazine College Conference Carnival at Rutgers with a dominating 159-139 victory over Marist to improve their head to head record to 4-3 on the season.

While third place may not seem that great, one thing to realize is that this event is for some of the top women’s swimming and diving teams in the nation and finishing third is very good. In the event were five other schools: Minnesota, Rutgers, Rider, Richmond, and Central Connecticut State.
Women’s Swimming and Diving Beat Both Howard and Drexel
The women’s swimming and diving team beat both Howard (124-87) and Drexel (150-123) to even their head-to-head record to 3-3. Sam Maccherola won all four events in which she took part in as she took gold in the 50 and 500 free, the 200 free relay, and 200 medley relay.
