Three Home Runs Can’t Get Softball A Win

Amanda Fefel ended her career as one of the top hitters in UMBC history.

In their final game of the season four Retrievers were honored during a senior day celebration, but all of they were unable to go out with a victory.

Malorie Weller, Julia Culotta, and Keala Mason all hit home runs against the University at Albany pitching staff in hopes of sending the four seniors out with a victory, but the pitching could not hold up.

Freshman Heather Brown gave up five runs off 10 hits in 6.1 innings as the Retrievers dropped their final game of the season, finishing 25-24, 6-12 in America East Conference play.

Seniors Amanda Fefel, Amanda Page, and Jessica Vetock all went hit-less while Emily Thompson ended her career with one hit and one run.
