Men’s Tennis Advance To Tennis Championships With 4-3 Win Over No. 2 Stony Brook

During the regular season the men’s tennis team was dominated by Stony Brook University, but in the tournament the team came ready to play and got past them to set up a championship match against Binghamton University tomorrow.
UMBC got out fast with doubles victories from Adam Duprat and Gauthier Berret and Mwali Phiri and Joe Adewumi for a key doubles point.
After those wins Fredi Voorman got a game winning three set win while Duprat got big three set wins to separate UMBC even more. Voorman took the first match of the game, 6-4, but dropped the second set, 7-6. However, Voorman got a close third set victory, 6-4.
Duprat got a 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (4) victory in his match while Berrett got a third win.
