Four First-Inning Runs Are Enough For Softball Win

Amanda Fefel, Lauren O’Malley, Lauren Brummell, and Malorie Weller all crossed home plate in the first inning while Heather Brown and allowed just two runs as the softball team won game three of their series against Hartford, 4-2, and their series.

Brown improved to 9-6 on the mound this season after allowing just two runs off four hits in 6.1 innings. To close out the game and get the save Stephie Weigman pitched the final two outs, allowing just one hit, but getting two strikeouts.

Emily Thompson and Weller led the team with two hits each.
