Five Swimmers Named Mid-Majo All-American Honorable Mention

CollegeSwimming.com named five UMBC swimmers to their Honorable Mention Mid-Major All-American list.

Seniors Jennifer Esposito, Sam Maccherola, and Matt Mattingly, junior Brad Reitz, and sophomore Abbey McKenney were all honored by the Website.

Mattingly finished first in the 100 breast in 55.21 at the 2010 America East Conference Championships, breaking a UMBC record. He also finished the 200 IM in first place in 1:48.69 during the meet.

Reitz, finished first in the 200 fly in 1:47.81 at the AEC Championship.

McKenney earned gold in the 100 free in 50.17, breaking a school record while Maccherola earned gold in the 200 free in 1:48.63. Esposito finished second in the 200 fly in 2:00.39.
