Women’s Track And Field Finished Fifth At America East Conference Indoor Championships

Senior distance runner placed three times in the conference championship meet, twice in medal position and one just outside of it.
In the 5000-meter run she claimed goal with a time of 16:47.69. Also placing in that event was fellow senior Suzanne Gabriel, who took sixth in 17:33.74
Parkinson then took bronze in the 3000-meter run with a time of 9:53.32 and then fourth place in the 1-mile run in 4:55.21
In the shotput UMBC claimed the top two spots as freshman Amanda Deller won the event with a toss of 13.75m. Junior Chrissy Robinson took a silver hitting 14.76 meters,
Deller also won a bronze in the weight throwwith a mark of 15.14-meters.
Britney Foreman took a silver in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.12.
In the 55-meter hurdles Imani Colbert placed third in 8.17-meters whole Fallo Rovel-Jones took eighth in 8.53-meters.
In the women’s high jump Jasmin Batchelor and Chowan Brightfull finished sixth with even marks of 1:58-meters.
The 4×400 team finished eighth with a time of 3:57.17.
The team finished fifth overall with 67 points.
