Men’s And Women’s Track And Field Compete At New York Collegiate Invitational Meet

The men’s 4×200-meter relay team of Mohamed Koroma, Jason Powell, Adrian Arthur, and Antonio Thomas came up just 0.25 second away from a school record as they finished the race ninth overall in a time of 1:30.76.
Sophomore Joshua Hewitson was the top Retriever in the meet as he walked away with a silver in the 500-meter dash in an IC4A qualfying time of 1:04.53.
Meanwhile, junior Chris Bowie claimed bronze in the 5,000-meter run in a time of 14:51.48. Senior Andrew Madison finished the race just behind him with a fourth place finish in 14:55.97.
Chris Snyder, Dominic Devaud, Aristole Johnson, and Michael Christmas teamed up to finish sixth in an IC4A-qualifying time of 10:09.48.
The 4×400-meter relay team of Keith Onto, Camal Pugh, Arjun Pradeep, and Hewitson finished in ninth place in the 16 team event in 3:20.74.
On the women’s side Suzanne Gabriel finished the 5,000-meter run in sixth place with a time of 17:37.16 while Sara Parkinson finished ninth in the 1-mile run in 5:00.17.
The 4×200-meter relay team of Nicole Smalls, Tawana Wilson, Ashley Ajayi, and Britney Foreman finished 13th overall in 1:43.97.
