Forty Points Short, Women’s Basketball Falls to Hartford, 85-45

It may be clear now that UMBC just does not have what it takes to compete with the big time teams in Hartford and Vermont. While UMBC played well against Hartford in their previous outing, this time the Hawks had their way and dominated the women’s basketball team, 85-45.

UMBC never led in the game and it only took the Hawks nine minutes to get a double-digit lead that never went away.

In the first half UMBC could not seem to do anything right, as they only managed to score 19 points, and gave up 48.

Carlee Cassidy led the team with 13 points while Tope Obajolu was the only other Retriever in double-digits with 10.
