Women’s Swimming and Diving Finish Third At College Conference Carnival at Rutgers

While third place may not seem that great, one thing to realize is that this event is for some of the top women’s swimming and diving teams in the nation and finishing third is very good. In the event were five other schools: Minnesota, Rutgers, Rider, Richmond, and Central Connecticut State.

Day One: 78 Points- 3rd

Sam Maccherola earned a bronze in the 500 free with a time of 5:02.06. She also places fourth in the 100 free in 52.61.

Jennifer Esposito helped out her fellow senior with a bronze in the 200 fly in a season best 2:01.93.

Day Two: 171 Points- 3rd

The 400 free relay team of Sam Maccherola, Ashley Miller, Jennifer Esposito, and Abbey McKenney earned a silver medal in the final event of the swim meet with a time of 3:29.61.

Esposito also earned a bronze in the 100 fly in 56.88, McKenney won bronze in the 50 free in 24.36, while Maccherola won silver in the 200 free in 1:51.12.
