Women’s Swimming and Diving Beat Marist, 159-139

In a jam packed weekend of competition, the women’s swimming and diving team followed up a third place finish in the Swimming World Magazine College Conference Carnival at Rutgers with a dominating 159-139 victory over Marist to improve their head to head record to 4-3 on the season.
Seniors Jennifer Esposito and Sam Maccherola were apart of three gold medals each.
Esposito won individual gold in the 100 and 200 fly in times of 58.85 and 2:06.93, respectively. She was then apart of the winning 200 medley relay team with Kathryn Moorby, Tina Cantwell, and Abbey McKenney.
Maccherola also won two individual gold, walking away as winner of the 100 and 200 free with times of 52.80 and 1:54.28, respectively. She was then also apart of a relay team, combining with Ashley Miller, Erin Wohlers, and McKenney for a victory in the 400 free relay in 3:37.59.
Cantwell, who was apart of the 200 medley team, took gold in the 100 breast in 1:07.26 while Miller, Amy Fay, and Rebecca Godwin rounded out the golds for the team with victories in the 50 free (24.96), 500 free (5:05.87) and 1,000 free (10:26.98), respectively.
