200 Freestyle Relay Team Breaks UMBC Natatorium Pool Record As Men’s Swimming And Diving Records Wins Over Howard and Dexel

A UMBC Natatorium Pool record formerly held my conference foe Binghamton was broken by the UMBC 200 freestyle relay team of Eric Jones, Steve Gallagher, Zach Vonder Haar, and Jason Mattingly who finished in 1:24.93.

There performance lead UMBC in the 108-79 victory over Howard and 161-130 victory over Drexel.

Sophomore Nour Saad built on a promising start to his career as he won both the 100 and 200 backstrokes in 52.63 and 1:55.31 respectively.

Jones added two more golds as he won the 50 free in 21.55 and the 100 free in 47.96.

Junior Mat Carson won the 1,000 free in 9:48.77 while fellow junior Brad Reitz took the 200 fly in 1:53.55.

Sophomore Andrew Reid won the 200 free in 1:46.30 and freshman Alex Moothart won the 500 free in 4:45.81
